SBI Green PIN is an easy and convenient way for generating PIN for SBI Debit Card through various channels like Internet Banking, IVR, ATM, and SMS. This facility is a step towards paperless banking.

SBI Green PIN facility allows you to generate your debit card PIN on your own in no time. Using this facility you can generate a new card PIN or change SBI ATM PIN. Therefore, SBI customers must be aware of SBI Card PIN generate process through various channels like IVR, ATM, SBI Net Banking, and SMS.

Ways for SBI Debit Card PIN Generation

SBI ATM PIN Generation online via Internet Banking

The existing SBI internet banking users can follow the below-listed steps for SBI Debit Card PIN generation online.

1. Log in to your SBI online banking account using your credentials.

2. Go to the menu header and select “e-Services> ATM Card Services”.

3. On the ATM Card Services page, click on “ATM PIN Generation”.

4. Select “Using One Time Password” or “Using Profile Password”.

 

5. Select anyone from the above two options. Select your account number and click on the “Continue” tab.

6. Next select the card and click on the “Confirm” tab.

7. It will take you to the “ATM PIN Generation” page. Here you have to enter any two digits to create a new one. Enter the digits of your choice and click on the “Submit”.

8. Now you will receive the remaining 2 digits via an SMS on your registered mobile number.

9. Next page, enter the 2 digits you have chosen earlier followed by 2 digits you got via SMS. Click on the “Submit” tab.

10. Now you will see a confirmation message on the screen about the SBI ATM PIN change. The message says that “The PIN for your ATM card has been successfully changed”.

Note: For SBI Debit Card Activation, go to the “e-Services > ATM Card Services > New ATM Card Activation”. You can also activate your card by making the first transaction at any State Bank of India ATM.

SBI ATM Card PIN Generation at IVR through Contact Centre

Below are the easy steps for generating PIN for SBI Debit card via the SBI Bank Toll-Free number.

1. Dial the SBI Toll-Free number from your registered mobile number. SBI Toll-Free No. 1800 112 211 or 1800 425 3800.

2. Press 2 for ATM debit card related service.

3. Next press 1 for PIN generation.

4. If you are calling from your registered mobile number then press 1 or else Press 2 to speak with an agent.

5. Next enter the last 5 digits of your ATM card for which you want to generate a Green PIN.

6. Next press 1 to confirm the last 5 digits.

7. Here press 2 to re-enter the last 5 digits of your ATM card.

8. Now enter the last 5 digits of your account number.

9. Next press 1 to confirm the last 5 digits.

10. Here press 2 to re-enter the last 5 digits of your account number.

11. Next step enter your birth year.

12. You have successfully generated your SBI Green PIN. It has been sent to your registered mobile number.

SBI ATM PIN Generation through ATM

Visit any one of the nearest State Bank of India ATMs. Follow the below-mentioned steps to generate it.

To generate SBI Card PIN

1. Insert your card in the ATM.

2. Next select the “PIN Generation” option at the bottom right of the screen.

3. Here you need to enter your Account Number.

4. Next enter your registered mobile number. Re-enter your mobile number.

5. You will receive the OTP (SBI Green PIN) on your registered mobile number.

6. You can use this OTP at the State Bank of India ATM within 24 hours.

7. Insert the card in the ATM and select “Banking”.

8. Choose the language option as per your convenience.

9. Next screen, enter the OTP (SBI Green PIN) received on your registered mobile.

10. Select the “PIN Change” option.

11. Next enter a 4 digit PIN of your choice and re-confirm it.

12. Once done, you will see a message on the screen as “The PIN for your ATM card has been successfully changed”.

For SBI Debit Card PIN Change

You can also change a working PIN through ATM

1. Visit any State Bank of India ATM.

2. Insert your ATM card and select “Banking”.

3. Next enter your PIN.

4. Select the “PIN Change” option to change an already working PIN.

5. Enter a 4 digit PIN of your choice and re-confirm it.

6. Once done, you will see a message as “The PIN for your ATM card has been successfully changed”.

SBI ATM PIN Generation through SMS

You can also create SBI Green PIN by sending a specific SMS from your registered mobile number. Follow the mentioned below steps to generate it using SMS service.

1. Just send an SMS to 567676 from your registered mobile number in the below format.

PIN CCCC AAAA

Where CCCC represents the last four digits of your card number and AAAA represents the last four digits of the bank account number associated with that card.

2. Once SMS is sent, you will receive an OTP (SBI Green PIN) on the same mobile number.

3. You need to use this OTP to generate debit card PIN at any State Bank of India ATM by following the above-mentioned steps.

4. The OTP will be valid for two days.

I hope now you can use either of the above-mentioned ways for SBI ATM PIN generation as per your convenience. Also, note that Green PIN is not the actual PIN. You have to generate the actual PIN using SBI Green PIN which you received on your mobile via an SMS.
